Kate Klassen is a graphic designer and the artist behind Uh Oh My Deer illustrations, which you may have seen before at Market Collective or on Instagram. Driven by her creative spirit and vision, through Dote Magazine, Kate is fulfilling her lifelong dream of creating a magazine.
Jenny Flaman is a writer whose career has morphed into the editor role for two small niche magazines previous to Dote. With a journalism diploma from SAIT and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Calgary in English, Jenny brings her passion for the written word to Dote Magazine.
Alexandra Joy Wig
Alexandra Joy Wig is the owner of Pink & Honey Event Styling which specializes in custom design, prop styling, and creative direction for boutique weddings, intimate events, and photo shoots. With a keen eye for style and thoughtful approach to detail, she believes even the smallest occasion should be celebrated. She draws inspiration from nature and feels most content when surrounded by a creative community. Alexandra is a wife and new mama who aims to find joy in everyday beauty. She is made happiest with good coffee, white peonies, baby giggles, and summer nights.
Vicki Manness is the creator of Pretty Sweet, a small Calgary pastry arts business that specializes in custom wedding cakes, delightful dessert displays, vintage inspired baking, and a variety of tasty treats. With Red Seals in professional cooking and pastry arts, Vicki’s artful take on food sets her apart in the baking world. Vicki loves travelling the world to discover new tastes and techniques and is happy to bring her passion to Dote Magazine.
Client Relations Lead
Leanne has been an honorary member of the Dote team from the very beginning. A nomadic, minimalist at heart she has just recently returned to Calgary from a year and a half stint in Vancouver and the Okanagan nurturing her love of exploration and West Coast living. With a background in client relations and sales she brings an excitement to the Dote team. Leanne can be found out and about checking out Calgary’s rad social scene with friends and spinning it out at YYC Cycle.
